Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      We all want to grab those deals that are out there…but be careful.   Four out of five American consumers have encountered some type of fraud this year.   AARP Fraud Watch Network director of programs Kathy Stokes  says it is not a good idea to make a purchase through an ad on social media..

“Half of us go with that ad and purchase something but a third of us experience fraud doing that.”  Gift cards, I understand, which are so popular, what should we be watching out for there?  “The highest amount of people, 30 percent this time, said that they have either given or received a gift card with no value on it.”
