The coolest gadget of them all? I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. There were lots of great gadgets and tech on display at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show…but the one that captured the Last Gadget Standing competition came from Lytro. It’s an amazing camera that takes images that can be re-focused after the fact Marketing VP Kira Wampler…
“When you capture the light field, you get capabilities that you don’t get in a regular camera like the ability to focus the picture after the fact. It’s also a really fast camera to use, it’s really simple with just two buttons and then it creates very magical pictures that are extremely creative.” I guess consumers are going to want to know when can they get one and for how much? “Sure. Well, we’re taking pre-orders right now and our 8 gig model is 399 which holds 350 light field pictures and our 16 gig model holds 750 pictures and is 499.”
