The latest iPad toys…from Crayola.  I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Crayons haven’t gone away and kids will be coloring with them for many, many years to come.  But kids, like their parents, love tech.  And so Crayola has created what it calls Digitools.   Product Manager Warren Butler…

“Each kit comes with a downloadable app and then it comes with the three different tools and a storage case, which actually clips right onto your iPad.  So once you download the app, you just go right to the app on your iPad, you can start creating.  You can select from a variety of backgrounds here.  So say I want to start creating on my hat, I can now pick whatever color I want to play with here.  And then to get some additional effects as well, you can actually now look at the variety of crayon colors that we have on here.  You can see all the different color crayons, 64 different color crayons, and now I can actually create right here with my finger.”

No mess, no broken crayons.  The only caution is that a dropped iPad is a lot more costly than that.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
