A new Harmony remote from Logitech

Techstination feature for Tuesday, October 30, 2012

A new Harmony remote from Logitech.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   It’s a bit smaller and sleeker than previous models, and the new Harmony Touch universal remote from Logitech has learned some new tricks.   It features a color touch screen, swipe and gesture controls.   Physical number buttons have been replaced by one that can be used on the screen.  Some of the best things about Harmony remotes have been the online set up and ability to set scenarios like watch TV or watch DVD.   Senior Manager Ian Crowe ….

“Unique, with the launch of Harmony Touch is also the ability to import settings from an older remote that was set up on  a previous version of our software.  So if you’re a Harmony One owner, for instance, and you may have set up your remote a couple years ago, you can access all the details from that previous account and apply all of those settings to the new Harmony Touch.”

You can find the Harmony Touch for about 250 dollars.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
