Uh oh. Even your fork is going high tech. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Imagine if your fork could take the place of your mother in telling you that you are eating too fast. You don’t have to imagine any more. A company called Hapi Labs is bringing the Hapi Fork to market. Inventor Jacques Lepine…
“There’s electronics inside with a sensor and the sensor gets each time that you bring the fork to your mouth. So if the intervals between each time that you bring the fork to your mouth are too short then you can get an alarm on the fork if you want that you’re eating too quickly. It reminds you to eat more slowly.”
It can also download the info to your computer via a USB port. A Bluetooth version is in the works. The Hapi Fork is available for pre-order online…but it does take a big bite…about a hundred dollars. There’s more info at hapilabs.com. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
