Seagate makes it easier to connect to your music, photos, videos and more from anywhere.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Some new products from Seagate won lots of attention at this month’s International Consumer Electronics Show.  The new Wireless Plus drives let you take your content with you everywhere.  What’s different?

“Number one is capacity.  We’ve doubled the capacity to one terabyte.  So it now stores, potentially, five hundred movies.  Second, we’ve doubled the battery life.  It’s battery life up to ten hours.”

Marketing VP Scott Horn.   The company also announced the new Seagate Central,  a drive that stays connected to your home network, that gives you up to four terabytes of storage for backing up all of your computers and more…

“It has a completely redesigned software experience.  In fact it includes an application that runs on Samsung Smart TVs, so you can control it through the TV interface.”
