Amazing new Ultra HD TV screens, with some amazing prices.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   They were front and center a this month’s International Consumer Electronics Show.   Ultra HD or 4K TVs with four times the resolution of the best TVs on the market today.   Samsung is taking pre-orders in Korea for the S9000,  which comes in at 85 inches and a price tag of 38 thousand dollars.  TV Marketing VP Dave Das….

“We’re launching this in 2013.  It’s the world’s largest commercially available Ultra High Definition LED TV.   It’s got an integrated camera in the TV and it has a design that is incredible.  It looks like the TV is floating in mid air.  It’s suspended and surrounded by an array of speakers.”

While Ultra HD looks incredible, it will be a while before it becomes affordable enough for everyday consumers and a while before there’s enough Ultra HD content readily available to justify the investment.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
