Dish Network is expanding its Hopper line up. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Dish CEO Joe Clayton is calling them Super Joeys. New boxes with new capabilities that will work with the company’s Hopper satellite DVR system…
“We’ve introduced Super Joey which allows you to record up to eight programs at one time. That gets rid of, I’d say, multiple household channel conflicts. We’ve got the wireless Joey which gives you more freedom to put the Joey any place in the house that you want without being tethered by a cable connection. And we’ve also made it easier with our announcement with Sony Playstation 3 and 4, they can be used as a Joey.”
And LG will have an app for connecting it’s latest smart TVs without the need for a box. Dish also lets iOS and Android users transfer recorded shows onto phones and tablets from their Sling enabled Hoppers. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
