More affordable 4K TVs. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. At this month’s International Consumer Electronics Show…4K or Ultra HD TVs were everywhere. And the good news is prices are coming down. Models from top tier brands like Samsung, Sony and LG are still at least several thousand dollars, but there are other brands to consider. Scott Hardy is the president and CEO at Polaroid….
“We thought it was important that we make this innovative technology, this ultra high definition 4K resolution, which gives people four times the resolution compared to a full HD screen, and make it affordable. And so we came out at the show here and we’ve launched and announced a 999 dollar 4K 50 inch LED TV.”
The sub one thousand dollar Ultra HD TV doesn’t have all the bells and whistles…such as Internet connectivity. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
