Apps to help teach toddlers…and their parents. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. A company called Kiddie App is creating iOS apps designed to give parents a hand with some of the basic things when it comes to raising toddlers. Things like sleeping, eating, potty training and simply being nice. Founder and CEO Jose Cabrera y Charro says the apps start with interactive stories…
“And with that story in a fun and interactive way, you tell them about desirable behavior. What the right thing or the nice thing to do is. And once you do that and they do good you can make a reward chart for your child and put stickers or have them put stickers on the reward chart when they do well. You can even publish them to Facebook and the comments of your friends will be in the app for your child to see or for you to explain to the child that everybody is so proud of them.”
Nothing like the power of social media. The basic Kiddie App is free with add ons priced at 2.99. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
