Microsoft searches for more customers…in shopping malls. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It started out slowly….following the success of all of those Apple Stores. But Microsoft is investing more heavily in retail stores to show potential customers just what they can do with Windows and of course, the Xbox One. There are nearly a hundred in all now…and Microsoft General Manager Jonathan Adashek says the idea is …
“We’re going to deliver the choice, value and the service that people are really looking for when they’re making technology decisions. The other thing that they’re going to find when they come into our stores is an amazing team of people. We’ve got people that are trained to the fullest in all of our products and all of our services to really help each individual get exactly what they need out of their technology.”
Microsoft is hoping the strategy will help its efforts to make the Windows Phone platform more popular too. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
