Logitech's new wearable camera: bemo

Techstination feature for Thursday, August 28, 2014

Logitech’s new wearable camera.  I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp Report, a report on gadgets and gear.   Wearable cameras are one of those growing consumer electronic categories.   If you’re looking for something smaller than a GoPro…Logitech’s new entry is being labelled a social camera called bemo.  Senior global brand manager Storm Tussey…

“He is water resistant. He is really rugged so he can handle drops and you can pretty much go anywhere with him.  The goal of bemo is really to allow you to shoot the camera with a single touch, shoot video with a single touch.  And then it Bluetooth syncs to the bemo app where you can actually edit the film, add filters, add music, add text and then immediately share it across your favorite social networks.”

Video quality is good…at 720 resolution…but some smartphones can do better.  A 4 gigabyte memory card is included in the 129 dollar price.   An Android app is in the works.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
