New type of kids' tablet from LeapFrog

Techstination feature for Thursday, September 17, 2015

LeapFrog jumps into a new type of tablet for kids.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    LeapFrog has been a pioneer in using technology to create educational toys for kids.  Now it is out with a new tablet, the LeapFrog Epic that kids won’t outgrow so easily.   It features a quad core processor and the Android 4.4 operating system, a first for the company.   Product Marketing VP Monica Brown…

“LeapFrog Epic is really designed to be a full featured tablet that gives that more sleek, more adult feeling device with a bumper on the outside to kind of keep it kid tough.  So for kids who are really looking for something that feels like an adult tablet, but parents want their kids to have a truly safe LeapFrog experience, this is a great option.”

The available apps are curated to ensure they are appropriate and safe for kids.   The price, about 140 dollars.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
