Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    Imagine you are travelling on a plane or a train and able to hold a phone conversation without the person seated next to you being able to hear what you are saying.   A new mobility privacy mask called Skyted makes that possible.   The French start-up is on Kickstarter now…and has backing from Airbus and the European space agency.   The mask uses a microphone…wired or wireless …and baffles to prevent sound from escaping outside of the mask.   CEO Stephane Hersen..

“So that’s the basics of the technology, really to stop the sound here.   After, you  are going to have Bluetooth, which is going to come down the mask to your phone, one that is going to come to your ear buds or Air Pods, so we’re totally agnostic with all your other equipment.  And we can have it wired, if you want it very simple.”
